Who the heck wants Bill back anyway?
My reasons why I DON’T:
Too GreedyNot Well-Played as Peter in the Second MovieIf He does come back, 82.9% chance His BROTHERS (ugh) will be in itBill will take all the da** fame and leave Harold and Dannyboy out of it all -
** Harold and Danny were the two who tried hard with the movies, they were the backbone, sweat, cartilage, and creators. All Bill did was put the skin on.**
And HECK, The Peter Role can ALWAYS be played by a Better Actor Who Could Have finer qualities and morals than Bill does!

Ben Stiller may star in new Ghostbusters movie
November 8, 2005
Ben Stiller is being lined up to star in a new Ghostbusters movie. The comic actor is wanted by movie bosses to appear in the long-awaited third instalment of the popular '80s series by the film's director Harold Ramis.
Ramis admits he is keen for Stiller to join Dan Aykroyd and Rick Moranis, who both starred in the original movies opposite Bill Murray, in the sequel Ghostbusters In Hell because he is a "huge fan" of his work.
Aykroyd is also writing the script for the film which will see the paranormal investigators transported to a parallel dimension from New York.
Ramis revealed: "What Dan had originally conceived was sending the characters to a special effects hell - a netherworld of mad visual
environments. But what worked so well about the first two films was how it was all so mundane.
"When the Ghostbusters step out of this portal, it looks just like New York but it's hell. No cars are moving and all the drivers are swearing at each other in different foreign languages. All the worst things about modern urban life - just magnified."
It is not yet known if Murray will reprise his role as Dr Peter Venkman in the new movie or whether Sigourney Weaver will appear again as his love interest, Dana Barrett.

Haha, I just pulled out the cover to check up on the other choons I liked (Dr. John doing "Season Of The Witch" and Matt "Guitar" Murphy's "The Blues Don't Bother Me" are pretty great) and was immediatley faced with a picture of Travis Tritt jamming with Jeff "Skunk" Baxter.

"See, my character, Dr. Raymond Stantz, he becomes a ghost himself - and not just any ghost but an incubus. And he starts going on these nocturnal rampages and the plot is about whether, you know, they let my character, who is now a sex-demon, have sex with these women or if you zap him because he's technically a ghost and you're a ghost buster. Everyone's loves this and is on board. It's gonna happen."

There are so many different + fun + new directions you could go with a (not precisely necessary) Ghostbusters reboot-quel but I hope they remember to include people turning into demon dogs and Zuul and an evil EPA dude releasing ghosts from their containment system and that they replicate as much of the dialogue as possible from the original. TBRR, I just want them to do what Van Sant did with Psycho.

Is it too late for them to have Paul Rudd wear a Bill Murray mask, or is that maybe something they can fix in post
― You Can't Have the Woogie Without a Little Boogie (Old Lunch), Wednesday, 7 April 2021 15:40 (four years ago)
hey, Gremlins 2 was a lot of funJoe Dante has only been able to get one (1) of his own ideas theatrically produced in the 32 years since
― armoured van, Holden (sic), Wednesday, 7 April 2021 16:57 (four years ago)
honestly I don't really care if the latest Ghostbusters tanks the careers of everyone involved, I care about if it's fun to watch or not

also you have to weigh the price of Joe Dante's career vs possibly the best twitter account ever made, the Institute of Gremlins 2 Studies:
