"I am convinced that Iran had some connection to the 9/11 attacks"

In the background, I can clearly hear these words being said by talking head invited onto CNN. Apparently, he claims, the 9/11 commission believes it, too.

Are they really going to try this on us again? Are people really going to believe it? And was there any such assertion in the 9/11 commission report?

And no, I don't know who it was. I couldn't get to the television fast enough.

there's this one dude who borrowed five bucks from me in seventh grade & never gave it back, I'm pretty sure he had a connection to 9/11 too

I am relatively certain that the paraplegic man who ran over my foot with his wheelchair made of dark matter had a connection to 9/11.

How long before the ice caps and the ozone layer are connected to 9/11?

I think Michael Owen's knee injury may be connected to 9/11.

Coincidence that it took place during a tournament in which Iran are competing?

No one else in the world believes it.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Wednesday, 21 June 2006 20:53 (nineteen years ago)

The final report of the 9-11 Commission, which is due out tomorrow, contains significant new information about a possible “Iran connection” to the plot, including a U.S. intelligence analysis indicating that Iranian border inspectors were instructed not to stamp the passports of Al Qaeda members entering and exiting their country. Although the information has been known to the U.S. intelligence community for some time, President Bush told reporters this week that the U.S. government was “digging into the facts to determine if there was” a possible Iranian connection to the September 11 attacks.

Yeah, but after Iran, Indonesia is next in reverse alphabetical order. It'll take us years to falsely declare victory there.

"Islam is Indonesia's main religion, with almost 88% of all Indonesians declared as Muslim according to the 2000 religious census, making Indonesia the most populous Muslim-majority nation in the world."

Considering Iran's ties to Hezbolloah, I wouldn't doubt certain factions within their government have given a nod an a wink here or there to Al Qaeda. I tend to doubt their government was directly tied to 9-11, but I would not doubt that at some place and point they were providing some sort of assistance to some Al Qaeda tied groups.
