Where for art thou, wheelie bin

Ok so I put my bin out on Monday. I completely forgot about it until today, now it's gone.

Wtf. I am now contemplating calling to the neighbours tomorrow with my sad story and wondering did they take it in for safe keeping.

wheelie bin? like a dumpster? or something else?

tehresa, who will here remain anonymous (tehresa), Saturday, 24 June 2006 22:36 (nineteen years ago)

over here everyone has a council issued bin on wheels, with a nice lid.

I seriously hope somebody has it, I don't even know how to apply for a new one! Presuming you can't just buy these except off Dublin City Council.

It's too late to call to neighbours now, I failed to pluck up the courage all day.

in most streets ive lived in in sydney if you dont bring your wheelie bins in within a few hours of the trash being taken, lifeless neighbours will rush out and either put it in your backyard or their because, you know, ITS UNSIGHTLY.

Ask your neighbours, Ronan! I'm sure it's safe and sound.

In South Africa the wheelie bins are called Piki Tups:

Perhaps the culprit was Wheelie bin Laden.

Michael Daddino (epicharmus), Sunday, 25 June 2006 00:55 (nineteen years ago)

Wherefore wheelie bin, and not, say, garbie bin or some other name? That is the question.

roffle, xpost

When we lived in CA, if we left the bins out past 9 p.m. or so on pickup day, we'd get a polite little note from the neighborhood association. I don't miss those fascists at all.

I will commence to drop a knowledge bomb. (Rock Hardy), Sunday, 25 June 2006 01:10 (nineteen years ago)

Wait, did you just forget where you put it? Or has it wheelie bin stolen?

Hotman Paris Almanac (Autumn Almanac), Sunday, 25 June 2006 01:11 (nineteen years ago)

One could always resort to taking possession of the neighbor's bin. Not that I'd ever do something like that.

ALLAH FROG (Mingus Dew), Sunday, 25 June 2006 01:12 (nineteen years ago)

We always end up with other people's bins. Nobody's ever complained for some reason.

tehresa, who will here remain anonymous (tehresa), Sunday, 25 June 2006 05:58 (nineteen years ago)

Me too. But has it been found in in the meantime?

Nathalie (stevie nixed), Sunday, 25 June 2006 10:34 (nineteen years ago)

theres an awful downunder joke about this.

"wheres you wheelie bin?"

molly (bulbs), Sunday, 25 June 2006 11:14 (nineteen years ago)
