Japanese Culture Is Becoming Americanized...
American Culture Is Becoming Latinized...
Has Latin culture started to infect Japanese culture indirectly,
through American culture? Are J-LO and Shakira cultural icons
over there? I know that the Japanese diaspora flooded Spanish
America. Some of my own grandparents immigrated from Japan to
El Salvador. Is there now a wave of immigration from Latin America
to Japan, or are Hispanics in Japan a very small group indeed?

Do people emigrate to Japan much? My impression is that there are Western expatriates, but not immigrants in the same way that there are in the West. Right or wrong?
