The great thing about the internet is that one can do things one can't in real life, ie be reasonably sociable and welcoming to new people.

SO in hnor of that, I want to welcome all the new posters hwo have popped up in the last few weeks...my memory for names remians alas in the real crappy world, but we're glad to have you here..

Ooo does this mean ME? I will pretend it does anyway, even tho I think my first posts were months ago with a long silent gap inbetween. See, now that I am unemployed I have lots of time for ILE. Also lots of time for smoking a pack a day and drinking too much coffee. Altho I sent out a resume yesterday and am waiting breathlessly to see what comes of it. Perhaps I will be whisked away YET AGAIN by the realities of a day job.

Oh right, introduction? I live in New York (well, "near," actually, but who's counting), I work(ed) in book publishing so if you have a production job going begging, I'm your gal. A healthy portion of the London kidz know me already. Can't think of much else. Going to bed now.

you can nevr drink too much coffee... this means everyone, new or old, it's a thread of welcoming of saying hi to people whose names i can nevr remember so I see thier names on threads and go, hey a new person, cool, and i enjoy their threads and well the medicaiton makes it hard to salivate appropriatley let alone osscilate wildly but welcome my friends...

As someone who's lost all sense of perspective on these things - hey lurkers and recent arrivals, has ILE seemed particularly impenetrable and clique-ridden the last few days? I've been enjoying it enormously which usually means that's the case...

(Also if it is the case do we seem like an amusing urbane group you'd love to be part of or a bunch of lamers morbidly obsessed with a long- forgotten 80s youth subculture? Actually hold on I don't want that one answered.)
