No Vanilla Ice cameo no credibility.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 21 July 2006 14:19 (nineteen years ago)

Can't get it to play, but I'd like to point out that the original cartoon series DVD rereleases are chugging along nicely, and have arrived at the third series, which IMO was the show's absolute peak.

I'm so excited.
I'm about to lose control of my bowels and I think I like it.

IPSISSIMUS (Uri Frendimein), Friday, 21 July 2006 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

Will Lost's "Dr. Marvin Candle" reprise his role as The Shredder? Will it feature criminally-left-out-of-original-film baddies Rocksteady and Bebop (not to mention Best Ally Ever Usagi Yojimbo)? Will Casey Jones finally really GIVE IT to April O'Neal? CURIOSITY!

the doaple gonger (nickalicious), Friday, 21 July 2006 19:35 (nineteen years ago)

will somebody supply Casey Jones with a jockstrap?

Damn, Atreyu! (x Jeremy), Friday, 21 July 2006 19:39 (nineteen years ago)

It looks surprisingly good, actually. A well designed and staged trailer.

Are film people going a bit too cartoon/comic remake crazy lately? Superman, Garfield, Batman, Spiderman, Transformers, and now this. What's next, a live action version of Popeye?

seventeen years pass...

Okay obviously an older thread and there have been other efforts and reboots BUT! talking Mutant Mayhem, just now out. Repeating myself from FB: that was good fun! It is very obviously a response film to Sony's animated Spider-Verse efforts: distinct animation style, 21st century hiphop culture as baseline and New York of course. Also a reboot/origin story in turn that's more than heavy on the metaphor but! after Barbie let's roll with it. Moves quick, done in well under two hours, voice ensemble is solid (and the four folks handling the turtles themselves do a fine job), and like said Spider-Verse films it does action damn well. Pretty obvious but also totally expected mid-credits scene setting up a planned sequel but why not.
