Ants more aggressive when in GANGS (not the proper term ARMIES)

The wording of this headline (http://www.yahoo.com/s/359706) seems designed to lead the reader along a certain line of thinking. Since when is a group of ants called a GANG? It's called an ARMY. If the headline used the proper term ("Ants more aggressive when in ARMIES,") maybe the reader might be disinclined to vote Republican?

I like the idea of ants being in gangs, rather than armies. That implies that there are rival ant gangs, and maybe they fight each other West Side Story stylee.
