Categories of tyre

Hi,
I had a blowout on the motorway today and had my front tyre replaced by the service technician who told me I also needed the other front tyre changed.
He suggested I got the tyres changed by someone like kwik-fit as it would be cheaper than having them done by the dealership.
When I looked online, the categories of tyre offered by Kwik-fit seem more or less the same as the ones actually fitted to the car (section width 195, aspect ratio 50, rim diamteter 15), but the only thing that differs seems to be the "speed rating". My tyres say "R" but the ones offered online are "T". There are no "R" in stock.
So, my question is: Does this "speed rating" matter? I was going to have them change both front tyres and my spare replaced in the boot but would it make a difference if the front tyres are "T" and the back "R"?
Boring question I know, but something someone might know.
Cheers, G :)

T-rated tires will explode above 60km/h. Purely in-town rubber.

26:3 therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and will bring up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves. 26:4 They shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers; and I will scrape her soil from her, and make her a bare rock. 26:5 She shall be in the midst of the sea a place for the spreading of nets; for I have spoken, says the Lord GOD; and she shall become a spoil to the nations; 26:6 and her daughters on the mainland shall be slain by the sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD.
