my "deal"? what's my "DEAL"? i'll tell you what my "deal" is.

rrrobyn monsters with heat fever+stroke (rrrobyn), Saturday, 5 August 2006 14:27 (nineteen years ago)

I own the DVD for Heathers but have never opened it. This may be the time to break it out. I have uttered many lines from that movie in many different circumstances, including "Is that pate?" "Fuck me gently with a chainsaw; do I look like Mother Theresa?!," and "You know what I really want? Cool guys like you out of my life." I still say "That's it; we're breaking up!" on a daily basis (my husband and close friends are used to it.)

My "deal" is that I have in-laws coming tomorrow. Black comedy it is!

What's the dilly-o, yo?

slugbuggy (slugbuggy), Saturday, 5 August 2006 18:34 (nineteen years ago)

A Heathers DVD should never remain unopened unless it happens to be the second copy you own. Heathers is one of those movies that, when you own it, you should actually feel free to enjoy it. And I too love the "fuck me gently with a chainsaw" line. Oh, and my favorite part of the pate scenes are the bits after when Veronica says, "Great pate Mom", i.e. the "gotta motor" lines. "...but I gotta motor if I want to be ready for that party" and "...but I gotta motor if I want to be ready for that funeral" are a pair that never fail to make me laugh, predominantly after the latter instance. OH, and you can't forget, "I love my dead gay son!" One of the most memorable lines from the movie IMO. Um, and I have no "deal". Not at the moment. I am deal-less.
