how can I change my computer to the English keymap?

now that I am here, I really need £, etc.! I'm running os x (jaguar, I think.....)

(on previous versions of mac os this was easily changed in a control panel, and you would have a little flag in the top right of the screen to indicate the map but... I can't seem to find this anywhere....)

Also on the US keymap option+3 gives you the £ and option+shift+2 gives you the €.
