Getting fucked in the ass by abst-only sex-ed

In Canton, Ohio, a high school found out that 1 out of every 8 female students was pregnant last year(65 out of 460).

So, they're actually changing the policy, to one that actually be more "responsible."

Of course, it took a pregnancy rate of 13% and a bunch of teenagers getting fucked over before they came around, but hey, gotta start somewhere.

Aaaaaargh, so predictable. 1 out of 8. Wow.

you don't get pregnant that way [/obvious]

But wouldn't that make for a great class?

Only funny until you realize that some teens actually think that way...

new sexual euphemism for the anus = "the loophole"

Results 1 - 10 of about 481,000 for expanding loophole. (0.32 seconds)

Ned Raggett (Ned), Wednesday, 16 August 2006 19:20 (nineteen years ago)

Oops, my math was wrong. 65 out of 460 is 1 out of 7, actually.

Results 1 - 1 of 1 for "loophole to mouth".

According to the Canton Health Department, statistics through July 2005 showed that 104 of the 586 babies born to Canton residents in Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center had mothers between the ages of 11 and 19.

11?!?

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 16 August 2006 19:21 (nineteen years ago)

i think more than one of them would have been spunked into tbh.

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 16 August 2006 19:23 (nineteen years ago)

why so shocked jaymc (they didn't say how many 11 year olds.. could be just one)?

ken c (ken c), Wednesday, 16 August 2006 19:23 (nineteen years ago)

i think more than one of them would have been spunked into tbh.

well, i was averaging it over the class size, assuming that your average midwestern high school will have a handful who will be taking several more loads than others. It's a fine gradient of money shots, from lining up the football team and going at 'em like a circus seal, to those who won't get any until their sophomore year at university.

Where in this article does it say that the old sex ed program was abstinence only? It says that the program will include an abstinence message, and it says that the old program was inadequate (outdated textbooks, etc.).

Where in this article does it say that the old sex ed program was abstinence only?

I think it's strongly implicit in the description of the new program, since it's the addition of safe-sex information that brings this program "in line with national standards":

The new Canton school board program promotes abstinence but also will teach students who decide to have sex how to do so responsibly, bringing the city school district's health curriculum in line with national standards.
