If you don't actively pursue a 4.0 GPA or a lot of unpaid get-to-know-the-conglomerate bullshit you can wind up $80,000 in the red with no place to go, just the same as a humanities loser.
if you want to progress through corporate, get a job there first. THEN see what kind of tuition/training programs they have to help you out. Don't blow the next two years of your time and eight years of your money on "looks like a quick(ish)" anything.

If it costs you $80K then you are looking at all the wrong programs. If your MBA costs you $80K and you do well in school, then you will graduate with a job. If you can get your employer to pay for at least part of your MBA, you are on the right track.
There is no quick route to success, but certainly an MBA probably buys you at least better fallback than not having one.
