This is not strictly "Hindi," but an Urdu couplet. Roughly translated:
"What I thought of as reality, turned out a deceptive entanglement
Only the hope (desire) of faith was gained, whoever I met was but unfaithful
I welcomed each traveler on the path that you once traveled
Aside from you each traveler of the path, betrayed that path he traveled"
"Hakikat" (it's usually "haqeeqat"), "fasana," "vafa," "bewafa," "umeed," "raah-guzar," and "beimaan," are Farsi-derived (or Persian-Arabic), and "salaam," of course is just Arabic. A good example to once again illustrate that the vernacular of Hindustani is an amalgamation between the poles of Sanskrit (extreme Hindi) and Persian (extreme Urdu).
