iatrogenic hiv theory

Well, I don't know anything at all about this really, but my initial reaction would be a big fat no. I have my doubts that mass over- medication is the culprit behind the AIDS epidemics going on today in the THIRD WORLD. But anyway, just a gut reaction thing. No facts.

Actually wait, I really should read up before I post opinion. Anthony I'm curious, where is it that you've heard that the theory actually claims that HIV is unrelated? From the little bit I did just read it seems only to claim that medications were simply the means of inter- species transmission. Not the actual cause of AIDS in and of themselves. And I guess that seems sort of plausible.

whilst i'm intrigued that hiv spread via the 50 and 60s polio vaccinations in africa, i don't quite support the theory that hiv and aids are unrealted - after all, ppl were dying of aids long beofre meds for hiv came along...but there is a big industry out there, not just pharmies, but also a lot of aids organisation exists because the disease does.
