Gonzales deep-fries Coca-Cola-flavored batter. He then drizzles Coke fountain syrup on it. The fried Coke is topped with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar and a cherry. Gonzales said the fried Coke came about just from thinking aloud.

I think it makes perfect sense that it comes from Texas.

Coke without booze in it is foul.

I Supersize Disaster (noodle vague), Thursday, 7 September 2006 07:24 (eighteen years ago)

What, it's not from Scotland?

Angel In Love With Her Own Pedals (kate), Thursday, 7 September 2006 08:19 (eighteen years ago)

Donkey Tails -- Large all-beef franks, slit on one side and generously stuffed with sharp Cheddar cheese, wrapped in a large flour tortilla and fried until golden brown.

I think I'm gonna be si..

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Thursday, 7 September 2006 08:24 (eighteen years ago)

Sam: Screwed and Chopped (Molly Jones), Thursday, 7 September 2006 13:53 (eighteen years ago)

Donkey tails TOTALLY win. I put charp cheddar on all my hot dogs anyway.

Laurel (Laurel), Thursday, 7 September 2006 13:56 (eighteen years ago)

I'm not sure about that deep fried part of that although I guess it would just taste like a hotdog chimachanga.

Sam: Screwed and Chopped (Molly Jones), Thursday, 7 September 2006 13:57 (eighteen years ago)

donkey tails does sound like a winner (weiner?).

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 7 September 2006 13:59 (eighteen years ago)

What is sharp cheddar anyway?

Leaving that aside how would the deep frying of a tortilla wrapped around it add to the experience, is it just MORE?

Ned T.Rifle (nedtrifle), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:04 (eighteen years ago)

I would eat a donkey tail.

What is sharp cheddar anyway?

?!?

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:06 (eighteen years ago)

Ned, it would be the difference between a burrito and a chimachanga - the first is soft and possibly less greasy. The second is crispy, crunchy and definitely greasy.

Sam: Screwed and Chopped (Molly Jones), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:10 (eighteen years ago)

sharp as opposed to mild, yo.

Alicia Titsovich (sexyDancer), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:22 (eighteen years ago)

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:33 (eighteen years ago)

(I thought a donkey tail would be like oxtail)

Mädchen (Madchen), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:34 (eighteen years ago)

in britain we say strong or mature rather than sharp, because our cheddar isn't cut into pointy bits...

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:37 (eighteen years ago)

i want

jhoshea (scoopsnoodle), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

Do they sell "super super mature cheddar" there?

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:38 (eighteen years ago)

Sam: Screwed and Chopped (Molly Jones), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

Young Fresh Danny D (Dan Perry), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:39 (eighteen years ago)

Gimme some a that antediluvian cheddar.

Jordan (Jordan), Thursday, 7 September 2006 14:46 (eighteen years ago)

Mature cheddar sounds all refined! "Ooh, look dear! This cheese has a PhD!"

patita (patita), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

[mouth agape]

stet (stet), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:26 (eighteen years ago)

In fact, no, I want a fried coke meal with a liquidised Big Mac. To go. And go large.

stet (stet), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:27 (eighteen years ago)

british cheddar doesn't laugh at fart jokes.

otto midnight (otto midnight), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:27 (eighteen years ago)

In fact, I ACTUALLY want a deep-fried pizza coated with cheese and deep-fried coke, with chips. and a coke. Mmm. I can barely concentrate on work now.

stet (stet), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:28 (eighteen years ago)

in britain we say strong or mature rather than sharp, because our cheddar isn't cut into pointy bits

Right, the British never use light metaphorical adjectives like "sharp" tastes. They prefer specific, scientific terminology like "dodgy," "manky," "wombly," "plonking," and "joinglyshire."

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

Deep Fried Cosmopolitan -- A fried pastry filled with cheesecake and topped with a sweet and tangy cranberry glaze and a lime wedge. Served on a stick.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:37 (eighteen years ago)

(Haha, in the U.S. we say "sharp" rather than "strong," because our cheddar's terrifically bad at bench presses.)

nabisco (nabisco), Thursday, 7 September 2006 18:38 (eighteen years ago)

(But good at MENSA puzzles.)

Herkimer's just another name for Poindexter.

jaymc (jaymc), Friday, 8 September 2006 14:14 (eighteen years ago)

In Herkimer they don't have anything to do besides watch the cheese age. And hit rocks with hammers.

patita (patita), Friday, 8 September 2006 18:01 (eighteen years ago)

"dodgy," "manky," "wombly," "plonking," and "joinglyshire."

Die over this every time I see it.
