Is there some new anti-photo device?

Crap - it's the stupid photographer's flickr page settings.

Uh, mods, could you delete this thread?

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Friday, 8 September 2006 12:37 (nineteen years ago)

Ok, well, as long as the thread is up, you can at least enjoy yourself a slideshow until I get files I can upload myself:

Congratulations!

For some reason, I always find the signing of the Ketubah to be hilarious.

I must say, he did a phenomenal job, and we paid next to nothing for them.

What beautiful photos! Many congratulations to you and Mrs Hurting on your recent wedding :)

C J (C J), Monday, 11 September 2006 12:40 (nineteen years ago)

Those really are nice photos. Is that your band at the reception? Did they do an alt country version of Hava Nagila?

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 11 September 2006 12:50 (nineteen years ago)

Josh, someone has to say it: your wife is a STUNNA!

Laurel (Laurel), Monday, 11 September 2006 12:59 (nineteen years ago)

That's my bandmate's other band, Like Moving Insects. They did, in fact, do a version of Hava Nagila, and it sounded more convincingly like an old Eastern European shtetl band than anything I've ever heard. Not that I've ever actually heard an old Eastern European shtetl band.

Thx Laurel! She was really glowing - it's rather otherworldly.

Oh, bearded guy is my younger brother, green dress chick is wife's sister. Rabbi is my dad. Blonde card-trick guy is my oldest friend.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Monday, 11 September 2006 13:22 (nineteen years ago)

Nice.

(I did one of those Irish/Jewish/African weddings for a musician a couple of weeks ago...African drumming during the ceremony, followed by brass band Hava Nagila!)

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 11 September 2006 13:23 (nineteen years ago)

One of my favorite details about the wedding is that my wife got the idea for the olive branches on the cake from a photo that turned out to be from Tiffany Amber-Thiesen's wedding.

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Monday, 11 September 2006 13:28 (nineteen years ago)

I loved that! I noticed and showed it to my boss and she was all snotty, "I never saw anyone put OLIVES on a CAKE before" and I was like "Nevermind, go away. I liked it."

PS: I don't know where the Valley Girl thing just came from, maybe it was the TA-T ref.

Laurel (Laurel), Monday, 11 September 2006 13:35 (nineteen years ago)

HA, it's not like we had fucking OLIVES on it. It's a decoration!

A-ron Hubbard (Hurting), Monday, 11 September 2006 13:50 (nineteen years ago)

I know! And v symbolic! And I thought it was sharp and smart and un-froufy, unlike most wedding cakes which are overwrought and stupid.
