Does anyone have any memories of having treatment under gas at the school dentist in the 1940s to 1960?
I am writing a short story based on this experience.

It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents, except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets (for it is on ILX that our scene lies), rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness. I asked a question about dental gas and nobody answered sensibly. The end.
