What are some synonyms (can be a phrase) for "sexy" that don't sound corny, unsexy, or like the utterance of a sad get, eg "foxy"?

AP, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Every synonym for "sexy" has a bit of sad get in it. For instance - SMOKIN'; SCRUMPTUOUS; VIVACIOUS. It's the sort of stuff you'd hear from Entertainment Tonight anchors kissing up to Hollywood stars and starlets. Pucker up, MWAAAAAH!

FLY. FINE. BUBBLICIOUS.

Ramosi, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"BUBBLICIOUS"
This word makes me think of a fart in a bath = not sexy.

BOOTYLICIOUS! Hot damn, how could I forget that?

David Raposa, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I prefer BABILICIOUS, baby.

Graham, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I use some terrible ones. The worst of which transplanted itself from my mate's vocabulary into mine. "Oh he's a honey". Sounds better when talking about men than women though.

Can someone explain ROWR - never quite got it.

Anna, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

ROWR!!

Graham, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm a big fan of pneumatic myself. It makes me think of pumping... tyres.

Trevor, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Sound made by tiger. ROWR!!! As in animal attraction I think.

Difficult to be sure cos no-one ever says ROWR!!! to me - except tigers.

Pete, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I always pronounce it row-orrrrr. Is this correct?

Graham, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Most serviceable one = "hot" but iz overused. Does Shakespeare haf any? Or Benny Hill? More alternates needed!

Dreamy

Graham, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

he likes to walk the dogg ( note the spelling)

anthony, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A lot of these are not very good synonyms really, I mean bootylicious is only sexy if you like big arses, pneumatic = busty, which is not necessarily sexy. And dreamy = teen pinup not sexy. Hot is about the closest I reckon. ROWR is just interwebbian so doesn't count.

Emma, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Rowr isn't just interwebbian, there was a Bugs Bunny cartoon on the other day with a randy genie-thing who did indeed utter the sacred word.

DG, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

There's the old standby gor you fellers... VA VOOOOOOM!

Gale Deslongchamps, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Use of ROWR surely has to be curtailed following distressing Frosties supermarket satyriasis ad (which also defames TigXoR socks!)

Tom, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Can a girl be 'spunky' or is that just fellas?

Jonnie, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Easy. "HOTT" (pronounced hot-TUH) and the designation "stone fox." With these two, I'm prepared for any occasion.

Pyth, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

A stonefox being a petrified Pinefox, Laurel?

Tim, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

VOLOPTUOUS. I realize, it's usually used to describe someone who is not heavy, but not quite annorexic, but I think that's damn sexy. Or how about just plain 'Sweet' as in Sugar never tasted so good. Maybe just 'OUCH!!'

Deadman, Monday, 4 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)
