Is there a techno-speak term to describe the feelings invoked by online places?

This is a bit geeky I guess, but I'm wondering say, when I click on Mega Upload, and ads for swingers sites and stuff pop up everywhere, I sort of think "ugh" and quicken my virtual step. It's like "this is a nasty area of internet".

Is there a name for this? Besides "PSYCHOSIS" or something. Has anyone researched this kind of thing?

"quicken my virtual step" => this is such a perfect description! the sudden feeling of being in a sleazy back-neighbourhood of the internet and feeling its crepiness crawl over your skin, and moving the mouse almost too quickly and jaggedly in your need to shut the popup down as soon as possible. I don't know of a word but there definitely needs to be one.

While swapping gmails with another ilxor last week, g00gl3 seemed to think we desperately wanted to look at a swingers site based on the ads it placed.

I'm glad I'm not the only one, I want to write about this but just want to make sure if there is documentation about it I include that.

Are there places like this in Second Life and stuff? I presume so...

It would be really impressive if it were! For some reason I think this sort of vague repulsion&dread&upset&looking-over-your-shoulder-to-deny-that-this-is-you is something you forget about when you're not experiencing it, so I think my opinion of SL would go up if I knew it could engender that sort of feeling in the player.
