Un-friggin-believable! Especially since I tried playing this last night and am now able to appreciate the genius that would go into drawing something like that.

This reminds me strongly of a great little game I used to play called ElastoMania, which was basically Line Rider writ large.

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Wednesday, 27 September 2006 19:49 (eighteen years ago)

i actually like the fact that there's no eraser. you're forced to backtrack and find a way around the fuckups. what i don't understand is how these people with their crazy courses always seem to get it right the first time. mine always end up looking like cy twombly with the shakes.

A Giant Mechanical Ant (The Giant Mechanical Ant), Wednesday, 27 September 2006 19:54 (eighteen years ago)

people with their crazy courses always seem to get it right the first time. mine always end up looking like cy twombly with the shakes.

they don't. they draw stretches at a time, test it, then add some more.

kingfish prætor (kingfish 2.0), Wednesday, 27 September 2006 19:58 (eighteen years ago)

it must take quite a long time. I can't even get it to write "FUCK YOU" to express my frustration.

IPSISSIMUS (Uri Frendimein), Wednesday, 27 September 2006 20:00 (eighteen years ago)

yeah but they land like massive flips etc without having to tweek the landing area at all. my guy insists on dying if i don't redraw the line a tiny bit X 15.

A Giant Mechanical Ant (The Giant Mechanical Ant), Wednesday, 27 September 2006 20:02 (eighteen years ago)

i'm guessing if you get the standalone download version there is some sort of easier save function, so you can draw in bursts. from the description, it says you can resize easier too.

For those not paying attention, there's now an updated version out there, and Line Rider is coming to the DS and Wii sometime in post-thaw spring.

Have fun playing with a sledding guy in your currently snowless towns.
