dmr (Renard), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:23 (nineteen years ago)

i have to wait til thursday :(
unless i can watch it via webcam or something equally ridiculous.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:26 (nineteen years ago)

nevertheless, i just soiled myself in anticipation. again.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:26 (nineteen years ago)

why thursday kit?

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:28 (nineteen years ago)

britishes

dmr (Renard), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:31 (nineteen years ago)

the first five minutes will leave you...breathless

Konal Doddz (blueski), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:32 (nineteen years ago)

it's true, i am a britisher :(

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:33 (nineteen years ago)

i clicked on stevem's, almost watched it, came back here.

i will have to torrent series 3, it has become... necessary, with all the weight that word implies.

the classic sounds of the seventh of january 1998 (Enrique), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:34 (nineteen years ago)

I'm watching the S2 DVD bonus disc in anticipation.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:37 (nineteen years ago)

heh, mine arrived yesterday, so i did that last night.
i'm so, so hopelessly obsessed with this show.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:38 (nineteen years ago)

Does anybody know where I can order a DHARMA Initiative jumpsuit? I will need one for my ongoing conflict with the "hostiles".

a naked Kraken annoying Times Square tourists with an acoustic guitar (nickalici, Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:46 (nineteen years ago)

torrent series 3
When will this be available?

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:54 (nineteen years ago)

probably about 3-4 hours after it's aired? i'm always impressed by how quickly it goes up.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:55 (nineteen years ago)

maybe more like 6, i dunno. here you can get up on Thursday morning and there's 4 or 5 variants already available.

Konal Doddz (blueski), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:56 (nineteen years ago)

I want some of that Dharma brand ranch dressing!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:56 (nineteen years ago)

cheers stevem, i'll set my alarm.

not-goodwin (not-goodwin), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 13:58 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, i always wait til thursday morning to start t0rr3ntz0r. but that generally means i get home from work and bingo!

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:03 (nineteen years ago)

haha, but can you fight the temptation of reading L O S T threadz ALL DAY?

a naked Kraken annoying Times Square tourists with an acoustic guitar (nickalici, Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:06 (nineteen years ago)

yeah, i had to do that during S2, so i'm ub3rfuckingpr0 at Lost thread ignorage by now.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 14:08 (nineteen years ago)

Would be nice to get the torrent in 1080p within a reasonable amount of time, too. But that takes a few hours longer to encode than the regular HD version, apparently.

James Mitchell (James Mitchell), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 15:28 (nineteen years ago)

i started watching season 1 last week and i'm up to episode 23 now. watching 22 43-minute episodes in a week is a really bad idea. no way i'll get up to season 3 in the next week.

a.b. (alanbanana), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 16:34 (nineteen years ago)

so this is the spoiler-free thread?

researching ur life (grady), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:30 (nineteen years ago)

what's the point of a spoiler-free thread about a tv show? what are you supposed to talk about?

THIS IS THE SOUND OF RADIOHEAD BEING BEATEN AT A GAME THEY WEREN'T EVEN BOL (slu, Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:38 (nineteen years ago)

what does 'spoiler-free' even mean here?

i guarantee only episodes that people have actually seen will be talked about.

the classic sounds of the seventh of january 1998 (Enrique), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:39 (nineteen years ago)

There are things that have already been revealed about S3, though, that some people may not want to know just yet.

jaymc (jaymc), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:40 (nineteen years ago)

it... sucks!

THIS IS THE SOUND OF RADIOHEAD BEING BEATEN AT A GAME THEY WEREN'T EVEN BOL (slu, Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:41 (nineteen years ago)

OK, that's what I was thinking. for some reason I was under the impression FROM THE LARGE OMINOUS WARNING THE MODS ADDED TO THE THREAD TITLE that the other LOST thread contained season three spoilers and I didnt dare click on it. Now I see how silly I was being. Carry on.

researching ur life (grady), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:41 (nineteen years ago)

OMG after a summer chasing LOST spoilers it is really weird now to be desperately trying NOT to read them. I have a special place in my heart though for the writers producers etc and their wicked disinformation campaign of the past month+.

We should seriously consider a choreographed ilx infiltration of tehfuselage.com w/ completely ludicrous/Ludacris foilers.

a naked Kraken annoying Times Square tourists with an acoustic guitar (nickalici, Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:48 (nineteen years ago)

I had the chance to see the season premiere on the beach in Waikiki on Saturday night on a 30ft screen whith the whole cast in attendence. My girlfriend and I thought about it, but when it came to TS: Watching the season premiere of your favorite show on a CROWDED beach crammed neck-and-neck with thousands of other people who grabbed thier spot eight hours before it started VS. Watching the season premiere of your favorite show on a TV in the quiet of your own apartment over a nice dinner.... the premiere party lost out. I could just see myself getting so annoyed that I was missing important lines of dialogue or a few seconds of WTF in the frame because someone was talking too loud next to me or an ambulance was driving by or whatever.

researching ur life (grady), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:51 (nineteen years ago)

That sounds so pathetic when I read it back to myself.

researching ur life (grady), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 17:52 (nineteen years ago)

welcome to experience-shunning curmudgeonry. It can be a bit dull, and ever so slightly lonely at times.

OTM. it's most admirable, i've been such a spolierwhore since S2 finished, i feel duuuurty.

teh_kit (g-kit), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 18:26 (nineteen years ago)

Hello, I have returned to ILE! For this thread only!

I'm actually expecting to get bored of lost somewhere round about ep 6-9 this season. But for the time being, I'm EXCITED.

JimD (JimD), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 20:54 (nineteen years ago)

So has Lost got any less nonsensicle since I gave up halfway through series one?

chap who would dare to contain two ingredients. Tea and bags. (chap), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 22:02 (nineteen years ago)

There's more donkeypunching, Cleveland-steamering, Dirty-Sanchezing and people whimpering "mommy" now, but no, it's not making much more sense.

The Bearnaise-Stain Bears (Rock Hardy), Tuesday, 3 October 2006 22:13 (nineteen years ago)

I'm actually kind of interested to hear how it all turns out, but not enough to sit down and watch the thing every week.

would it be good to have the word "LOST" without spaces in the title for searching purposes?

welcome to experience-shunning curmudgeonry. It can be a bit dull, and ever so slightly lonely at times.

It's worth it for the moral superiority, though.

It's been a nice summer and everything. I crammed in six series of Gilmore Girls, the complete run of Firefly, and even some films. But I am glad telly season is here again, and that there is new Lost. Mister Monkey and I have bought a nice bottle of wine to have tomorrow night while we watch it.

accentmonkey (accentmonkey), Wednesday, 4 October 2006 11:03 (nineteen years ago)

It was Ben's funeral: he had no one off the island, anybody who was "rescued" with him would hate him, and Jack is crying over it because Ben was right/Jack fucked up real bad.

Not sure if Walt was Walt or Jacob. When I saw his (Malcolm David Kelley's) name in the credits though I almost shat myself.

So what happens now? Jack, Kate, Alex etc escape, Sawyer & Sayid etc get left behind to team up with Richard and all those people he took to the temple? I want to see the temple.

nickalicious, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:17 (eighteen years ago)

I'm thinking Ben. Nobody at the funeral, nobody in the real world would've known Ben. I would think even people like Locke and Sawyer would've got some haters.
xpost

Was the blonde aqua babe anywhere else in the show? She kind of reminded me of Jack's wife maybe?

Way too much to digest. . . Do we need an anticipation thread now?

Ms Misery, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:19 (eighteen years ago)

well... we need a much bloody shorter thread, so yeah. i've got cable internet and this thread is still taking forever to load.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:25 (eighteen years ago)

"LOST SEASON 4 AND WTF SEASON 3 FINALE THREAD"

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:26 (eighteen years ago)

I took the initative and started a new thread:

LOST 4 thread

Ms Misery, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:45 (eighteen years ago)

Probably it was significant that Sawyer & Juliet went back & we see Jack & Kate in the flash forward. The first two don't get rescued--which leads to unresolved feelings in the "fixer." I'm assuming everyone on the beach gets left behind--and I doubt Sun or Rose would leave. Yeah, the funeral has to be for Ben.

Remember when the doctor told Jack he was a hero "twice"? Hmm.

mulla atari, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:51 (eighteen years ago)

Shouldn't it be the Lost Season 4 anticipation thread?

mulla atari, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

Duh. I just clicked on it and that's what you called it.

mulla atari, Thursday, 24 May 2007 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

Remember when the doctor told Jack he was a hero "twice"?

Interesting thought about left behind. However, could the twice be the plane crash and then the car crash?
I love the Mikhail line, "I thought you were on mission in Canada." What were aquaothers supposed to be doing in Canada?

Bill in Chicago, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:01 (eighteen years ago)

Can I ask this thread to be locked? would anyone hate me? (should also add link on new thread.)

Ms Misery, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:02 (eighteen years ago)

* So is Mikhael actually dead now? I would assume so but he's already been "killed" like three times.

* The consensus is that Jack referring to his "father" in the future is just him being drugged up and confused? This seems like a stretch to me, but I can't remember whether we know 100 percent for sure that Jack's dad is dead. I thought we did.

n/a, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:03 (eighteen years ago)

I am still talking about season III, not anticipating season IV.

n/a, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:03 (eighteen years ago)

Seems reasonable at this point, but there should be a post season 3 thread and then an actual season 4 thread when it starts.

Bill in Chicago, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:03 (eighteen years ago)

It's an anticipating season 4 thread--which is basically what we're doing now. So I say we jump ship. Locking threads is lame tho.

mulla atari, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:07 (eighteen years ago)

you can talk about season three on the season four anticipation thread. this one has served us well and could probably be locked now.

Countdown: Jan 2008 -- The LOST Season 4 Anticipation Thread

scott seward, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:07 (eighteen years ago)

i'm in favor of this unwieldy beast being put down like an island polar bear. all in favor?

scott seward, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:08 (eighteen years ago)

I'm not in favor but whatever.

Remember when the doctor told Jack he was a hero "twice"?

Yes, he saved the kid AND the mother in the car.

I don't think anybody in the future knows about the plane crash, it's what he & Kate were lying about.

nickalicious, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:09 (eighteen years ago)

you can talk about season three on the season four anticipation thread. this one has served us well and could probably be locked now.

I think the point is a smaller thread. I don't think any of us are anal enough to say we may not discuss season 3. what the hell would we talk about then?

so no locking? I think we all want to keep talking together but this thread is huge.

Ms Misery, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:10 (eighteen years ago)

This seems like a stretch to me

me too.

but I can't remember whether we know 100 percent for sure that Jack's dad is dead.

where did we last see him? drinking in the car, right? and then Jack was going to the funeral, so we just ASSUME that daddy's dead, but...

kenan, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:11 (eighteen years ago)

I was all by myself and I literally threw my hands up in the air and shouted when Locke revived.
I also cried when Sun and Jin hugged.
And Hurley and Sawyer...again, cried.
I'm a gonna watch it again - right now.
Two hours of awesomeness!

aimurchie, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:13 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe when Jack said, "Go find my father and ask him how drunk he is" etc he was just pointing out that his father was allowed to work at the hospital in as bad or worse condition. But again, a stretch.

kenan, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)

Kenan - Jack's dad was last seen at the morgue in Australia, Jack identified his body. He wasn't just going to the funeral, he was bringing the coffin back to LA. But his body disappeared from the coffin when they crashed. So at least to Jack, he's dead.

Or maybe the Island revived him, I don't know.

Roz, Thursday, 24 May 2007 14:16 (eighteen years ago)

ah that's right. Ok carry on, I've been slipping on this show but OMG the last hour of last night was killer.

dmr, Thursday, 24 May 2007 16:31 (eighteen years ago)

way to rat out yr wife's escape route to save Jin

haha. i didn't think of that.

funny farm, Thursday, 24 May 2007 16:40 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah -- indirectly, Bernard got Charlie killed.

Chuck_Tatum, Thursday, 24 May 2007 16:40 (eighteen years ago)

I finally realized why blonde Aquaother hottie looks familiar. She was Carrie Brady on Days of Our Lives in the early 90s.

She was also the babysitter in the meta-Freddy movie. & she gets killed there, too. RIP.

David R., Thursday, 24 May 2007 16:56 (eighteen years ago)

"Yeah -- indirectly, Bernard got Charlie killed."

How do you figure?

Alex in SF, Thursday, 24 May 2007 16:58 (eighteen years ago)

Ben had already given the order to Mikhail to kill Charlie before they even captured Bernard.

nickalicious, Thursday, 24 May 2007 17:11 (eighteen years ago)

If anyone needs me I'm going to be at one of the new threads. WHICH ONE?? I dunno....

nickalicious, Friday, 25 May 2007 13:49 (eighteen years ago)

All I want to say before I say goodbye to the season three thread is that this was the greatest hour and a half of TV I've seen since, I think, the very first episode of Lost. And I cried when Charlie died.

That's all.

just watched. interrupted by my brother w/ 5 mins left, buzzing the door 2 hours after I thought he had got on a train to london!

phew

those last 5 mins!

I had 4 diff guesses

charlie needn't have died--how long would it have taken for the whole station to fill? desmond was already getting the diving stuff

lots of other stuff, too

should read this thread eventually

RJG, Saturday, 26 May 2007 14:04 (eighteen years ago)

charlie needn't have died--how long would it have taken for the whole station to fill? desmond was already getting the diving stuff

i think he called it right, though i'm not that good at physics. having a secret underwater base might be handy.

That one guy that quit, Saturday, 26 May 2007 16:12 (eighteen years ago)

might be able to fix hole and the computer stuff is waterproof as the woman said. stranger things have happened.

That one guy that quit, Saturday, 26 May 2007 16:13 (eighteen years ago)

charlie gave his life so they could have a handy secret underwater base!

think the water wouldn't have been past their knees, by the time they were ready to go w/ the diving stuff

RJG, Saturday, 26 May 2007 16:20 (eighteen years ago)

physics-wise, though, wouldn't the entire structure have to be pressurized and wouldn't the explosion fuck that up? i'm not sure how it works.

That one guy that quit, Saturday, 26 May 2007 16:24 (eighteen years ago)

hmm, suppose water in would increase pressure but don't know how it would go on and still don't think they would have been unable to escape...before something happened

pressure in charlie's wee sealed room didn't make him blow up, either

RJG, Saturday, 26 May 2007 16:29 (eighteen years ago)

Charlie thought he had to die to let Claire + baby escape though, don't forget. I think that's why he shut himself inside the room even though he'd have time to get out really.
