OTM. it's most admirable, i've been such a spolierwhore since S2 finished, i feel duuuurty.

I'm actually expecting to get bored of lost somewhere round about ep 6-9 this season. But for the time being, I'm EXCITED.

Is this just a season 1-2 recap?

It's worth it for the moral superiority, though.

It's been a nice summer and everything. I crammed in six series of Gilmore Girls, the complete run of Firefly, and even some films. But I am glad telly season is here again, and that there is new Lost. Mister Monkey and I have bought a nice bottle of wine to have tomorrow night while we watch it.

It was Ben's funeral: he had no one off the island, anybody who was "rescued" with him would hate him, and Jack is crying over it because Ben was right/Jack fucked up real bad.

Not sure if Walt was Walt or Jacob. When I saw his (Malcolm David Kelley's) name in the credits though I almost shat myself.

So what happens now? Jack, Kate, Alex etc escape, Sawyer & Sayid etc get left behind to team up with Richard and all those people he took to the temple? I want to see the temple.

I'm thinking Ben. Nobody at the funeral, nobody in the real world would've known Ben. I would think even people like Locke and Sawyer would've got some haters.

Probably it was significant that Sawyer & Juliet went back & we see Jack & Kate in the flash forward. The first two don't get rescued--which leads to unresolved feelings in the "fixer." I'm assuming everyone on the beach gets left behind--and I doubt Sun or Rose would leave. Yeah, the funeral has to be for Ben.

I was all by myself and I literally threw my hands up in the air and shouted when Locke revived.
I also cried when Sun and Jin hugged.
And Hurley and Sawyer...again, cried.
I'm a gonna watch it again - right now.

Maybe when Jack said, "Go find my father and ask him how drunk he is" etc he was just pointing out that his father was allowed to work at the hospital in as bad or worse condition. But again, a stretch.

Kenan - Jack's dad was last seen at the morgue in Australia, Jack identified his body. He wasn't just going to the funeral, he was bringing the coffin back to LA. But his body disappeared from the coffin when they crashed. So at least to Jack, he's dead.

Or maybe the Island revived him, I don't know.

All I want to say before I say goodbye to the season three thread is that this was the greatest hour and a half of TV I've seen since, I think, the very first episode of Lost. And I cried when Charlie died.

i think he called it right, though i'm not that good at physics. having a secret underwater base might be handy.

might be able to fix hole and the computer stuff is waterproof as the woman said. stranger things have happened.

physics-wise, though, wouldn't the entire structure have to be pressurized and wouldn't the explosion fuck that up? i'm not sure how it works.

hmm, suppose water in would increase pressure but don't know how it would go on and still don't think they would have been unable to escape...before something happened

pressure in charlie's wee sealed room didn't make him blow up, either

Charlie thought he had to die to let Claire + baby escape though, don't forget. I think that's why he shut himself inside the room even though he'd have time to get out really.
