this is true, but at the time, Roddy was painted as the bad guy, since the Orange Goblin had breakfast cereal to shill.

of course, he later turned face and had a great run against the late Adorable Adrian Adonis before heading off to hollywood, but Roddy in his prime could enrage entire arenas, like the "la cucaracha" incident in the early 80s.

He did a stand-up tour a coupla years ago, and i wish I could've seen it. I think he still lives around Portland/Beaverton, too.

i read that book and really liked it. i haven't seen the movie yet. i'm sure FW is a great idi though. i want to re-watch that barbet shroeder documentary. i haven't seen that in a zillion years, but i remember it being really frightening.
