I found the old ones extremely annoying, so I'm in favour of the change but I wouldn't go as far as classic.

I just marvelled at the swimming hippos just now before the Holiday programme came on and thought about starting this thread.

I kind of liked the free-running dudes though, and the 80s throwback women. The salsa class people always made me want to be able to do that, they make it look so easy.

Favourites, probably the swan and cygnets, paint splash, the shadow and the rubber 'duck'.

Yeah, I much prefer the simplicity of the BBC2 stuff. The creepy Eno-esque ones really remind me of watching Twin Peaks.

Hippos and kites = great. The moon one is very silly and made me laugh out loud.

The people in the council flat ident look very middle class.

BBC2 has two I can think of - a zoetrope with "2"s instead of slots, and the interior of a car with a "2" shaped sunroof
