Annoyingly, Youtube have stopped letting people upload videos longer then 10 minutes. What's the best alternative that will let me upload videos longer than 10 minutes?

bittorrent

I should have said: that will let me embed into webpages. And that can be streamed.

I want to upload a 45 min mix of songs I've made, with a series of photos as the video footage. Google video seems a bit ott re: copyright and wants all videos to be above 12 frames per second, so that's no good for me.

dailymotion is widely used and allows max length of 20 minutes. i don't know of anywhere that would let you have as many as 45.

Google Video has longer videos. I have a 45 minute documentary from there up on my Facebook profile. But I've never uploaded to it so who knows.

xpost damn, really? so annoying how youtube have stopped allowing 'director' accounts to do longer than 10 mins - i almost applied for it a few months ago when they still did it, but didn't get round to it. i wouldn't mind paying a £10 annual fee, flickr-style to get longer vids up there but that isn't an option.

Any potential alternatives to YT that aren't as picky about having a "copyrighted" music track set to it?

vimeo is good for that, or try dailymotion

I still haven't figured out how to upload my analog videos to my digital computer without using an expensive converter.
In the meantime, I cheated and taped these off of the tv, redubbing them in post-production.

I'll probably repost this somewhere else. Worth it for the "George Bush, the war winner, a shoo-in for re-election in 1992."
