Study: War blamed for 655,000 Iraqi deaths

And there it is. Note that Iraqis have killed more Iraqis than "coalition" forces, and that the proportion of Iraqis killed by Iraqis has been steadily increasing since 2003. Yet no one seems willing to use the phrase "civil war."

I have no faith that Bush, Rumsfeld at all will be held accountable in any legalistic sense for any of this. Probably not in most other senses as well. American newspapers opposed to the war tend to cite US fatalities, not Iraqi ones.

Probably not the most mature or useful response, but this makes me feel very vindictive.

For a variety of reasons I find hard to readily articulate at this second, I question both this study and the reaction it's getting across the board.
