The thread for things celebrities say in interviews and 'star profiles' aka Vacuity Classic Or Dud!

Tom, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm really looking forward to all my American fans reading my new thread!

Tom, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

This new answer has more of an edge to it y'know? It's more raw.

Ronan, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I just do my own thing and if anyone else likes it, well that's a bonus.

N., Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Anyone who moans about fake people needs to have their face lit on fire, I should add.

Ronan, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought money would solve my problems - it didn't! To everyone who thinks they would be happy if they had loads of money and fame like me - just be content with the simple pleasures, the best things in life are free AAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHH (knifed to death)

dave q, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

For me it's all about the oppertunity to connect. You know sometimes I really feel I'm reaching out to people.

Anna, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm really lucky cos I've got my family who are brilliant and all my old mates from back home around me and they help me stay down to earth. Preferably said whilst clad in Gucci and shagging someone famous like, er, Robbie off Eastenders.

Emma, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I have never seen anyone interviewed whilst they are shagging Robbie off Eastenders. You're making it up.

N., Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The hard thing about this business is spending time away from my family. (translation: I'm sleeping with the cabana boy and I saw my seven adopted kids last Xmas).

fritz, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Recently I've started writing my own answers; I guess you could say I want to be taken more seriously as an answer provider in my own right.

misterjones, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Footballers' q+as are a kind of celebrity profile degree zero, aren't they? Favourite food: steak. Favourite music: Phil Collins, Whitney Houston. Favourite comedian: Frank Skinner.

Edna Welthorpe, Mrs, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"As long as the fans are happy, thats all that matters. we dont make music for anyone else". translation:we know some unholy fuckwits will like whatever crap we release so lets pretend their opinion is the most valuable.

Ronan, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm always finding inspiration in the small things. It's nice to get back to my roots and be creative.

David Raposa, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

"the vibe in the studio was great"

Ronan, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I only write the answers for myself. If anyone else likes them that's a bonus.

Pete, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I misread this thread title as "Likes: Fake food. Dislikes: Chinese people."

No I didn't, that's a complete lie.

N., Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Well you know I don't really have a few about that...we're artists, you know?

goeff, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

it like, comes in a dream, i wake up and have to write there and then, we must all cherish the gifts we're given......

duyhfjhgf''yh, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

The way I look to look at is, you're only as good as your last post. That mentality really helps to keep it, you know, real and vibrant.

Jonnie, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Frank Worthington once got in trouble for doing a 'funny' one in SHOOT! The exclamation mark goes with the magazine title, not the information contained herein.

Peter Miller, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's a great new album, it's a got bit of everything form RnB to pop with some UK garage too!

jel, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

There's always been a vacuous element to my posts.

the pinefox, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It was a dream come true to collaborate with N. Who'd I like to work with next? Mark. I've always liked his work, but we both have very busy schedules.

Graham, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It was all a big misunderstanding. I had the receipts in my purse.

bnw, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

If you're a hockey star: Well, you know, we just gotta come out fighting. Gotta give it 110 percent.

If you're accepting an award: Ohmigod! (Clasp hand to breast) Woah, I totally did not expect this. I would like to dedicate this to the starving children of the world.

Evangeline, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I try not to get caught up in whether I'm "street" enough when I'm recording, 'cuz I don't think it's just something you can do. It's something that just flows out of you naturally, from your background, from your roots, and if people can't hear that in my music then maybe they're in a different place, or they're not listening properly. I was a rentboy for a long time, so I think that edgy attitude just comes gushing out of me when I'm in the recording studio, whether I'm aware of it or not.

Tim, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

edna welthorpe's right about the footballers' ones.

favourite telly programme: fools and horses

richard john gillanders, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

their advice: just be true to yourself. robbie williamses songs are like the answers to a celebrity star profile written up into lyrics. 'youth is wasted on the young, live your life bla bla bla' sorry, I don't know his songs off by heart.

maryann, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

...and right then, I knew that I'd hit rock bottom. It was like I had this choice to make, and there was this voice inside my head that kept saying "You just can't do this anymore." So, it was at that moment, in my darkest hour, that I decided to open up my heart and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal saviour.

Kim, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know, though, this business drives you crazy, you always gotta keep an eye out. I'm thinking of quitting soon. I've always been keen on astronomy. I'm thinking of maybe becoming an astronomist...

Joe, Thursday, 7 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

You know, this business has taught me that life on the road is just no place for a wife and two lovely children.

Michael Daddino, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I just don't know how these silly rumors get started! I guess some people have nothing better to do with their time!

Michael Daddino, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

...so I went down to his private studio at Neverland to record our duet, and you know, Michael, he's not only a consummate professional, he was, like, just this NORMAL guy, you know? Real down to earth.

Michael Daddino, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I don't know, though, this business drives you crazy, you always gotta keep an eye out. I'm thinking of quitting soon. I've always been keen on hypnotism. I'm thinking of maybe becoming a hypnotist...

Pyth, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I knew the FX would get me in trouble. I officially retire from this thread to die of embarassment.

Pyth, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That's the best comment yet, Pyth! Celebrity interview statements for the blogging age. ;-)

Ned Raggett, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Yeah, well, people put up smokescreens, don’t they? That’s all it was man, a smokescreen.

kevin enas, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I'm, like, really independent. I do all my own shopping and you know what, I don't even have a full-time assistant.

suzy, Friday, 8 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Some people look good in jeans. But, you know, I think I look really tough...I look **tough** in jeans!

[Okay, so I stole that from a commercial, but it always made me laugh]
