Question for females of whatever species

i am off dave q. however i have never been particularly on him!!

No penis envy here, I'm well acquainted with the toy store and have no problem improvising. But...I sometimes envy men's ROLE in sex, I imagine (erroneously?) that it must be easier than women's...this is probably total bullshit, as about a dozen of you sensitive types will rush to tell me. Modesty permits no further detail, sorry if this isn't quite as clear as mud--have no clearer thoughts to offer as I'm muddling through it, myself.

Very few of you have criticised him for this massive overlook. if i was a feminist studies graduate i'd say something like "this is a symptom of a phallocentric society" but i'm not so instead i'll say "most of you would be very boring lays".

far as i can see, dave q asks a question which says (like many of his questions) "OK, here are my assumptions, i want and expect you to disagree w.me, to take them apart, to teach me where i am wrong if you can." DQ will hate me for saying it heh, but actually i think he is one of the most RESPECTFUL posters on the board, in respect of opinions or practices not his own, ie he is genuinely curious about them, not merely strategically and/or repressively pluralistic.

i certainly don't, in fact i think it's an offensive view and it seems to be one he actually has. okay so it's good if he's up for (and expecting to) have his mind changed but even if that's so, it's still strikes me as far from "respectful".

dave q, why are women more limited as to sexual practices than men? i mean, women surely are confined or oppressed or restricted sexually, to a tragic degree but IT IS NOT because of our biology, which is how you seem to be framing it. I mean, do you envy being able to orgasm more often (& with less mess?), or whatever (ie. the many things female biology might mean that men can't experience the same)?

1) have an orgasm from fucking someone with a strapon 2) have an orgasm from fistfucking someone 3) have an orgasm from fingering someone

and so on. there are some exceptions to 1), it's true, but very few to 2) and 3).

so it's a little ridiculous to talk about the power structures and so on when you haven't even talked about the fact that when a girl is fingering or penetrating someone, she's not getting the same kind of sexual feedback that a guy gets from having his dick in someone, while OTOH, guys can usually come from penetrating a vagina or anus, and many guys can come from getting penetrated up the ass if the circumstances are right.

"doesn't it s.s.p.y.o. that guys can often orgasm from getting penetrated or penetrating, but women don't usually have the option of orgasming by penetrating?"

one answer: "well, that's true, but women can often come by being penetrated and even more often by being stimulated clitorally, so it's a wash, innit?"
