I don't start maternity leave until 11 December but I'm taking annual leave first - luckily I had lots saved up as well as 10 days from next year's allowance. Can't believe you don't get even a little time beforehand!

OTM, this tree is so glorious in it's golden yearly almost-death. of my other trees (purple ash, pine, redbud) the redbud is the other closest most glorious, only it's day is in the spring.)

We're thinking about putting in two ginkgos to replace the hickory tree that Katrina took down. I was second-guessing the idea until I went to the library this afternoon, and they've got three out front that are just glorious.
