This site was almost completely wrong about my neighborhood on every count.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:34 (nineteen years ago)

are you suggesting ... shenanigans?

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:35 (nineteen years ago)

(it sounds right about mine. but mine's pretty easy: affluent, white, liberal, yup.)

gypsy mothra (gypsy mothra), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:36 (nineteen years ago)

No, just too broad. Like for schools and crime it seems to be factoring in the entire county.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:49 (nineteen years ago)

I mean, how do you get crime index = 81, median home price = $1,330,500? It just does not compute. And the air quality is the same on the beach as it is in downtown LA but it magically improves at the arizona border? They need to show the size of the area that they are averaging for each statistic for this to have any meaning.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:54 (nineteen years ago)

the median home price for 90120 is only $2 million!

the starbucks in the forbidden city (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:55 (nineteen years ago)

90210 i mean.

the starbucks in the forbidden city (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 06:55 (nineteen years ago)

90120 just makes it freak out somewhere near the Swiss/French border.

walter kranz (walterkranz), Tuesday, 7 November 2006 07:01 (nineteen years ago)

the crime index seems high in my hood too. but right, it doesn't indicate how big the area is for each metric. a problem!
