boiling only removes pathogens, so i suppose there are some non-living contaminants as well?

oh god. so, i peed this morning and it was all cloudy. WTF. i'm sick! something's wrong! then i flushed - oh, no, it's just the water.

i went to starbucks for an espresso, and they said no. blenz across the street was happy to jeopardise my life, however, and they made me an espresso. i was willing to take the risk.

everything is in perspective right now. my line today: "well, i'm okay because i've got lots of beer in the fridge.. but my dog!!" it's an incredible ice breaker... "so, what are you drinking these days?"

Who says the dog can't drink beer?

Anyway guys, you live in VANCOUVER. Just pop open your mouth, face skywards and you should be drinking fresh rainwater in no time.

Vladimir Burakov stood outside a Costco in downtown Vancouver, waiting for it to open. He wasn't there to buy bottled water, although that was the case for many of the 100 or so people in the lineup.

"I am from Russia and we get so many problems with water," he said, appearing amused at the concern. "You get used to it. It's not a big deal. It's always brown in Russia."

Don't worry, happens all the time in Moncton. Tim Horton's should be switching to bottled water.

The great thing about water is that, in an emergency situation, you can make your own.
