I can't believe those elephants are real. Wow! And the dolphin looks terribly happy. Aw.

THREAD NEEDS KITTIES

benrique (Enrique), Thursday, 23 November 2006 11:31 (nineteen years ago)

These remarkable images of animals in the womb were produced using a combination of 4D ultrasound scans, purpose-built models and computer technology, for a new TV documentary.

Bah, jazzed up cgi shenanigans.

Still cool pics all the same.

ONIMO feels teh NOIZE (GerryNemo), Thursday, 23 November 2006 11:32 (nineteen years ago)

The documentary is only doing dolphins, elephants and dogs - tracking each through the gestation period.

(Though I'm sure some menko cat lover's got 3d kittyscans on teh web somewhere)

So these are computer graphics? DAMMIT, IT'S THE SAME THING THEY DID WITH JURASSIC PARK!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Not sure about these 3D ultrasound scans people get of their kids. Something about them disturbs me. Do you really want to know what your kid looks like before it's born?

Can't find kittens :(

The show is going to have a combination of real pics, models and cgi. From a blurb I read somewhere they've got some good images from tiny cameras inside the womb.

There's a preview video on the Nat Geographic website.
