I just don't understand. I've never heard rumors that her face or body are fake, she's never claimed or tried to be a Hollywood nice girl who makes good (or even a bad girl who reforms for your approval) and seems to pretty much not give a shit about what's said of her. The worst criticism I can think of is that she made Tomb Raider. Leave the woman alone.

Oh fuck, that reminds me, I saw some actual hair jewelry at the antique store where I bought my wood type. I mean, the painting scans sensibly to me not because she's the "Madonna of Consumption," but because she seems to have successfully cultivated (or just accrued) this image as an incredibly elegant grand-spirited woman who spends her time alternately saving/adopting the children of the third world and being some kind of classy U.N. emissary like a cross between Princess Diana and the sexy archaeologist from an Indiana Jones movie, all of which is kinda weird when you think back to when she scanned as a Billy-Bob-dating weirdo with a vial of blood around her neck and a creepy relationship with her brother.
