Great things that could happen, but if they did it probably wouldn't be that great after all

Going back to work on Monday and finding out I've been made redundant and my cheque's in the post.

Though, those few days planning my life of artistic freedom would be pretty sweet.

Getting off with the pretty 26 year old.

Oh wait, that couldn't happen. Never mind.

It'd probably be the best thing that could happen in terms of actually looking for a new job.

Oh, I wouldn't want to get fired though, I'd get no £££ for that!

Some winter equivalent of the summer blackout to make us all go home and give us a good shake up & keep life interesting. We would use candles and basically be camping out in our houses, which would be really really fun for maybe 12 hours! Until you needed a shower. Also posib only fun for ME.

I've been made redundant twice and both times it was great, apart from that whole 18 months unemployed thing. Which was only bad when I'd gone through all my redundancy money.

Dom Passantino (Dom Passantino), Friday, 5 January 2007 17:53 (nineteen years ago)

i was made redundant at the end of november. i started a new job immediately in london but left just before christmas as it didn't suit me. I'm now wondering whether to -

a. find a new job, join the rat race again, be secure
b. start my own business. hitchin is in dire need of a decent record shop. then again, maybe that wouldn't work and i'd be in trouble.
c. become a pop star/music writer - high risk, not even sure it would even begin to work.

All the same, it's nice to have a small amount of money and the opportunity to do what i want for a change.
