The white boxer I had was named after one special man because he looked just like him for the world. He was brilliant, caring, and a good friend... ( My Boxer that is! His name was Churchill, and he was 15 years old when he died!) He looked like... you guessed it, Winston Churchill! :)

Not for nothing, woman, but just this year I was informed how uncouth it was of me to refer to women as "woman", "stunt", "byatch", etc (you get the idea). So I've started calling girls "longhairs". "Alphonse is throwing a pool party? Well I hope there are plenty of longhairs!" "You're studying too hard, dude....You need to unwind, play some pool, find a longhair!"

People are confused.

My sistah's new kitten is called YOKO!! The first cat my mum had when I was wickle was called TIBERIUS AUGUSTUS!! When polar explorer Tom Crean was asked by Ernest Shackleton to go on a FOURTH expedition he said "No can do - I've got a longhair pal now!" He meant his wife! Shackleton died of a heart attackin South Georgia!! My friend Talitha's dog is called NACHO after a famous Peruvian novelist!! And THAT'S IT!!

Screaming Mad Lord Byron = the name of the male labrat kept in the classroom of my 9th grade Biology course. He was notable for his large, bulging testicles. Female rat was known as Lady Annabel, princess of parallelograms. She was a bit mad as well but very fertile.

The next two cats I have are going to be called Werner (after Jan St Werner and Werner Herzog) and Roland (after the keyboards and Roland Lippok). I feel quite bad about this, as it sounds rather like I'm just waiting for my cats I have now to die. Which is not true, of course.

My cat is named after the Radiohead album Pablo Honey, but I have to point out that I did not name him -- I adopted him from my boyfriend's neighbor. I wouldn't name a cat after Radiohead deliberately...

We had a dog named Amnesiac - but we lost it when we took it for a walk. We were walking around town shouting "Amnesiac, Amnesiac" all day but I don't think he could ever remember his name.

Bear me on this one:

My sister has a Weimeraner called George. She named her cat Lloyd as a result. This cat got squished by a car and he was replaced by Charlie (after footballer Charlie George). This cat was also squished and her current feline companion is named Eddie in honour of the Governor of the Bank of England.
