I will now document my study for the February administration of the California Bar Exam

And yes, administration is the correct word - the administration of a kick to my groin, over the course of two months.

Many of you may remember my last thread re: the bar exam did not end with success, but, hopefully, this one will.

Regardless, I just started studying last Wednesday, and have worked through Evidence and approx. half of Property. Shoot me, please.

Death would be evil. Yet perhaps we can schedule the FAP in advance.

You shall triumph. I have proclaimed it thus.

J (Jay), Monday, 8 January 2007 00:28 (nineteen years ago)

Agreed. Death would preclude my victory over this horrid, horrid thing. I choose cake.

Most wise.

"Well, sorry, we're all out of cake! We only had three pieces. We didn't expect such a RUSH."

Sorry, stumbling onto a thread + quotage opportunities = loopiness.

Phoenix Dancing (krushsister), Monday, 8 January 2007 01:12 (nineteen years ago)

Anyway, good vibes sent to you and your brain during this trying time.

you are not the ILXer who did not pass the bar the 1st time (the CA bar is one of the most notoriously difficult ones of all) ... and of those about whom I have knowledge, all of them eventually passed.

good luck!

Slow day today, but I am through with the 6 MBE subjects - Torts, Property, Evidence, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Crimes (Criminal Law + Crim Procedure).

Anyone know any motivators that might help me get out of my own head? I find myself most prone to procrastination when I get discouraged about the whole thing. I mean, there is the whole "Just Do It" thing....

what worked for my husband was to distill each subject to its bare essence--he stripped it down until he could fit it all on to a sheet of paper, and then he memorized the paper.
