Adjusting your web presense for the sake of (potential) employment

I've started thinking lately, in light of an upcoming move and subsequent job search, about my web presense and the ways that it might affect said job search. I'm fairly certain that most places on the web that feature my real name are fairly benign (and might actually prove beneficial), but I can't help wondering if there's something I'm not thinking of. I know that people occasionally get fired over stuff like this, so I'm wracking my brain. Taking the explicit BDSM site down would be job one, of course.

In what ways have you adjusted your web presense to suit your employers? Any horror stories?

it make sense to do a quick check especially if you work in the kinda of trade where you might have a web presence...

psuedonyms folx, psuedonyms. This is why I usually go by Samantha/Ms Misery online. when I started doing ilx/friendster/blogging etc I wanted to be able to speak candidly without work-types looking shit up.

I had the Ugly American entry on Wikipedia scrubbed of my current real name because of such considerations. SELL OUT!
