I can't say that this has been the best day I've ever spent on ILX. Seems as though a whole bunch of folks would rather I shut my pie-hole. Which bums me out, though I s'pose I oughtta be more thick-skinned.

For whatever it's worth, I've always like reading ILX, and count among my detractors a lot of the folks whose posts I most enjoy. So, I'm sorry for any annoyance caused. I'm sorry if you feel that I've shit in your eyes.

Feedback appreciated. Or just use this space to confess your sins. Whatever suits you.

See, now that some less-than-crushingly-negative attention has been focused on me, I feel at least marginally better. Which was probably the subconscious point of this sad little thread to begin with. So thank you all, and especially Lauren, for your less-than-crushingly-negative attention.

FWIW, in reading through that lacerating trial-by-noise-thread (which I really shouldn't have done in the first place), the awfulness was painfully clear to me, even without editorial commentary.
