excluding yrself. I was gonna say which artist but thought i should make it more obviously wider than that. first i thought of fer myself was yoshitomo nara, but i might get too scared! i would have to think about it alot. colour and tactility(?) are the most important. if sound comes into it, this question, which is already too big for me just outright squashes me.
i bet if people answer this question there'll be "cheating" like picking multiples, like say: bathroom by loiuse bourgeois; windows by hotere; computer by claes oldenburg*
well maybe we should try to just choose one or we will have a breakdown.

*choices not representative of this posters final decisions though they certainly appeal. except maybe the oldenburg 'cause i would actually want a computer, not an inflatable chair shaped like a computer [am i being a snob assuming "everyone" is familiar with his soft sculpture thingies??]. (plus i heard he artistically ripped off his female lover)

At first I thought this thread would be by someone who was stuck in feeling rubbish on Saturday night watching 'Home Alone'. NO NOT the popular Macauley Culkin (hmm spelling) vehickle but WHOT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU LET KIDS DESIGN YORE HOUSE. Kids today are dull. They had a rainbow on the house that rains (big fecking deal), something that shoots water at yr parents when they snore, and a fire pole to slide downstairs to their playroom (ok I admit that one is quite cool). Whot a big chiz. Thank god I don't haf any wee bairns.

I want the groovy pop up chair thing I saw in the design museum. God knows who designed it. I am not good with names. Of designers. That is.

Years ago I saw a house for sale (in a magazine). Each room was designed in a different style. Art Nouveau, Art Deco, fifties,... That would be my dreamhouse. Actually no, my dream house would have millions of records and books. heheh

maybe i should have said "decorate" rather than design; because i was thinking more of artists working with your existing place, or similar. i mean, i was trying not to get into the architecture area, and thinking more of interiors/installations...so i didn't do my question very well. and not that the architect just mentioned isn't interesting and all
