Slim jeans

Dear everyone,
I like my Levis 511 slim fit jeans, but they only come in 2 colors and black is gonna look retarded. Do you all know another jean that has a similar fit for a similar price? I'm way averse to blowing more than $60 on a pair, and I'd rather it stay in the 20-40 range.

Thanks.

i have some slim "black" levis, and they aren't so much black as very deep blue, and they get a little lighter with wear.

Sadly, now they don't even have them in black online. Just lighter blue. The darker blue only comes in one size (for fatties).

i seem to need 29 - 34s now, which is proving a little tricky. any suggestions?

(also, isn't there a huge alba thread about this somewhere?)

toby (tsg20), Monday, 15 January 2007 08:39 (eighteen years ago)

I just want to mention that I bought a pair of jeans over two weeks ago in the latest Lucky online sale and I'm sort of doubting they'll ever ship them. Bastards.

I tried on some Nudie slim jeans. Oh boy. Then I bought some 7s which I can only wear once I loose my excess weight again. *sigh* Now I bght some Levis Engineered (?) jeans.

I tried on a pair of slim jeans at Old Navy recently. I'm a fairly thin person, but I couldn't squeeze my butt into them. They obviously weren't made for anyone with any kind of booty.

Matt Olken (Moodles), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 04:30 (eighteen years ago)

i came on to say the same thing as phil. Cheap Mondays. you might also want to check out skate brands or Urban Outfitter's brand. also, what's wrong w/black?

jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 05:11 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah skate brands like Krew do me good, but Levis look a touch more casual. I'll probably order a pair of Mondays in a couple of weeks, but they are a bit tough to find online. Does anyone know how their sizing is in relation to either Levis or Krew? I'm a 31x32 Levis and a size 30 in Krew (which sits a bit high on my leg, but I like it).

Manuel Calavera (iheartponeez), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 15:59 (eighteen years ago)

yeah Cheap Mondays. the slimmest of the slims (I have insect legs with my blacks on).

AleXTC (AleXTC), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 16:26 (eighteen years ago)

I have some lovely slim (not skinny) Calvin Kleins I bought cheap in TK Maxx recently. I can barely fit anything in the front pockets, though.

Jesus Christ, Nick, what are they -- kneesocks?

Laurel (Laurel), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 17:07 (eighteen years ago)

try bugle boys or wranglers. perhaps compliment them with a mossimo sweatshirt or an arizona belt-loop clip-on pocket-watch, and be sure to throw in some teva sandals-- spring is just around the corner!

realkwaint (HGULTRUILLUM), Tuesday, 16 January 2007 17:09 (eighteen years ago)

two years pass...

I've been looking really hard for a pair of slim fit jeans with a high waist for men. All slim cuts I've come across are low waist. Anyone know where I could get some high waisters, please?

Tongham Hobbs, Thursday, 14 January 2010 11:21 (fifteen years ago)

Go to the western store. For real.

Nate Carson, Thursday, 14 January 2010 11:25 (fifteen years ago)

Are there any particular western outlets you'd recommend? Is looking impossible to find slim/skinny high or at least mid rise jeans such as these:

maybe?

Tongham Hobbs, Thursday, 14 January 2010 12:06 (fifteen years ago)

those don't seem particularly slim, more like just straight-leg jeans. wrangler or lee should have something. what about these?

or these?

Tracer Hand, Thursday, 14 January 2010 12:58 (fifteen years ago)

in some places the western store = "tractor supply" fyi!

Maria, Thursday, 14 January 2010 13:00 (fifteen years ago)

cheap monday has a high waisted slim jean that'll run you around 50

More than 22 years have already passed after I obtain this DX7. (Future_Perfect), Thursday, 14 January 2010 16:45 (fifteen years ago)

Phrase to search for - "high rise."

Wrangler is your best bet.

smashing aspirant (milo z), Thursday, 14 January 2010 18:00 (fifteen years ago)

The look in that Grease pic is Levi 501, sized way down so they're uncomfortably tight.

smashing aspirant (milo z), Thursday, 14 January 2010 18:01 (fifteen years ago)

levi's generally have higher waists

rizzx, Thursday, 14 January 2010 18:16 (fifteen years ago)

levi's 512 looks like a slim fit with a higher waist than 511.

mizzell, Thursday, 14 January 2010 18:18 (fifteen years ago)

if you don't mind spending a little money, Acne Jeans is the way to go.

also. A.P.C.
not too expensive, great quality

rizzx, Thursday, 14 January 2010 19:17 (fifteen years ago)

Thanks, Tracer Hand, Mizzell, Jacob, milo z and others -- it was sweet of you to give me some ideas, you have been very helpful. I think I'll go for the Wrangler pair.

Do they have another division called Disfiguring Rash?

Christine Green Leafy Dragon Indigo, Friday, 15 January 2010 09:30 (fifteen years ago)

acne and apc are nice but they are spendy

cozwn, Friday, 15 January 2010 10:12 (fifteen years ago)

I have this sneaking suspicion that I've just played my part in an elaborate fetish activity.

Tracer Hand, Friday, 15 January 2010 10:40 (fifteen years ago)

I've never heard of Disfiguring Rash. Also Marc Jacobs design a line of jeans for Wrangles a couple of years ago. They might just be the perfect jean, straight leg raw japanese denim with selvage. But they can now only be found in Wrangler outlet stores for 34 dollars or on ebay for much more.
