about 40 million per person for a final season

anthony, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

That seems reasonable.

N., Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Pile of crap. When will it go away?

alix, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

you did read final season

anthony, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Will it end with them at Ground Zero realizing their life has been a shallow waste, following by them hurling themselves into the Hudson? I'd pay money.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think that Phoebe should kill them all in the last episode.

Dan Perry, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Chandler wakes up and realizes it was all a Vicodin-induced dream.

Nicole, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

when will these people just die already??

Samantha, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I thought this was a Friends Reunited thread. Sadly not.

Pete, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, like Friends is really THAT bad. You CAN turn the channel, you know. Cranky bastards.

David Raposa, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Friends is one of the few American TV comedies I've ever found funny, although I don't watch it because I don't have a television .

Has it remained as funny over the years?

DV, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I still watch it, Joey still makes me laugh, it's not that bad, no.

chris, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

DV: No.

Sterling Clover, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Oh, like Friends is really THAT bad.

"I won't be there for you...cause I hate you, you should die."

*MY* idea of a theme song.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

How much did David Rasche make per episode of Sledge Hammer?

Kris, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Zarg from Omicron 25, while watching "Friends" on his flightdeck TV: "I don't understand. Ross is bigger than the others. Why does he not simply EAT them?"

Tracer Hand, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Friends is funny. Was funny, still is funny. Funny. It's not hard to see. Frasier, on the other hand, has gone tits-up.

Ally C, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It's not that it's particularly bad, it's that *I* want 40 million dollars and yet they are the ones getting it. Bloody capitalism!

Maria, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Comparing Friends to Frasier = asking my preference between annihilation or eradication.

How much did David Rasche make per episode of Sledge Hammer?

Nowhere near enough.

Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

friends sux the big fat one.

di, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

its the kind of tv show which makes me get all irrational and anti- american.

di, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

It is rubbish & I do not give a rat's ass about it. They paid all that $$$$ = they are fools & from their money they were soon parted.

Norman Phay, Tuesday, 12 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Me too, Di.

Samantha, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I think I want to kill fibi the most.

Ronan, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

I do find "Friends" funny from time to time, largely because the interactions between some of the characters can be extraordinarily amusing. For example, any time Phoebe is in a scene, I larff and larrf. (The recent episode where Monica got a massage from Phoebe had me in stitches.) Chandler and Joey have good chemistry, Joey and Rachel are developing good chemistry... Really, if I was going to dump any of them, it would Ross and Monica, the two characters that tie all the other ones together.

I still think it would be funny if Phoebe accidentally killed everyone, though.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

She's already poisoning them slowly with the music.

Ned Raggett, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Gah Dan how can you like Phoebe. (my earlier spelling was odd to say the least).

She's unbelievably annoying. Way more than any of the others. Her jokes stopped being even "I won't now throw the remote control in disgust" amusing years ago. Since then the only joke has been her. ie the only humourous part has been her voice or some slightly odd gesture. In fact the characters are so old at this point the jokes seem just intended to provoke a sort of "OH that chandler, he's so kerraaaazy" reaction.

I dunno, each to his own I guess, but I particularly hate the Phoebe character. Although Chandlers become awfully punchable since he put on those few pounds and reinvented himself as a grinning prick.

Ronan, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

Dude, Phoebe rocks. She's extraordinarily clueless, yet at times frighteningly perceptive, plus she's an under-the-radar sex fiend. One of my favorite episodes in recent times was the one where Phoebe gave Chandler and Monica a Ms. Pac-Man cabinet as a wedding present. The slow-motion swearing jag Phoebe flies into at the end is one of the best moments of television from this season. Her reaction to Monica's sex noises in the massage show was OUTRAGEOUSLY funny.

Chandler used to be funny and Joey used to be punchable, but over the past two years they've traded places. Whenever Chandler and Monica are in the same scene, I want to break out a flamethrower.

Dan Perry, Wednesday, 13 February 2002 01:00 (twenty-three years ago)

one year passes...
Sounds to me many of you may be writers who will never get a job writing anything . stick to practicing "How to write obituaries, 101".
From what I have read, keep your day jobs.Snarks !

jose moralie, Thursday, 4 December 2003 17:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Cruel but fair. In the job interview I just had (with a writer) he said "I see you're a writer too" and I almost blushed with fraudulence. I mean, technically I am, but...

Markelby (Mark C), Thursday, 4 December 2003 17:09 (twenty-one years ago)
