I have been somewhat perturned to find that I am sprouting very coarse white hairs on my upper lip, in contrast to and in addition to the dark brown ones that grow there naturally, which are only slightly darker than the hair on the top of my head.

I have decided to not pluck my gray hairs out, and just let them grow. So I now have 4 very wirey and curly white hairs sprouting from the top of my head. They seem to grow a lot faster than the normal coloured ones - or maybe just appear to, as they are such a different colour they are more noticable.

I got my haircut on Saturday. I told my hairdresser I wanted to grow it (it was a short, fringed bob) so could he keep the length but neaten it up at the back please? He somehow persuaded me that I'd be better with a Purdey cut, then proceeded to give me a Deirdre Rashid. Am mighty pissed off and am never going back.

At least you can still wear the same dress as Purdey, it seems.

All the red is vanishing from my hair, leaving it kind of brown. I don't want that!

never ever ever tell your hairdresser to "just neaten it up at the back" because they hear this as "get yer fuckin shaver out and give us a skinhead".
