adam (adam), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:09 (eighteen years ago)

Blank, so I can open a new tab/window and start typing the desired url right away with no mouse clicks. I'm impatient like that.

Laurel (Laurel), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:16 (eighteen years ago)

Me too, laurel.

Euai Kapaui (tracerhand), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

Charlie Brown (kenan), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:18 (eighteen years ago)

Ms Misery (MissMiseryTX), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:24 (eighteen years ago)

I don't want to hit stop, I don't want to reach for the mouse AT ALL. I open new windows with a keyboard command so I don't want to have to move my hands or my gaze before I proceed. Might be mildly obsessed w/ efficiency but eh, it makes me happy.

Laurel (Laurel), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:27 (eighteen years ago)

UART variations (ex machina), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:38 (eighteen years ago)

Actually, it isn't blank, but opening a new tab is blank

UART variations (ex machina), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:39 (eighteen years ago)

You can assign a home for a new window, but not new tabs? That's smart.

However, due to the time difference between here and Britain, this means that on weekends, if I turn on the computer in the morning I get spoilers before being able to see the replays.

Hit escape!

Or I can just leave homepage blank and put everything I regularly view into my bookmarks bar. :)

Laurel (Laurel), Monday, 22 January 2007 17:55 (eighteen years ago)

WORK: My company's office calendar.
HOME: My Yahoo. It was much more useful when my half-dozen fantasy leagues were in effect.

yea, and laurel -- you can also (in some browsers) specify default tabs to load on startup by making your homepage field a | (pipe char) delimited list of urls

UART variations (ex machina), Monday, 22 January 2007 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

Ms Misery (MissMiseryTX), Monday, 22 January 2007 18:04 (eighteen years ago)

Jon: ooh, fancy! Maybe gmail and ILX fall into the perma-open category. Do you know whether Firefox allows that fxn?

UART variations (ex machina), Monday, 22 January 2007 18:18 (eighteen years ago)

firefox: Radio 4 main page.
