Watched Amores Perros a couple weeks back. Watched Edge of Heaven a couple days ago.
Thought they were rather similar. Liked Edge of Heaven much more though.

amores perros is ok, but it looks worse in retrospect because everything bad about it got magnified and amplified in 21 grams. and maybe in babel too, i disliked 21 grams enough to keep me from actually watching babel so far.

I loved Amores Perros, and 21 Grams even moreso! Babel only had one or two good threads in it, though.

Amores Perros was quite fine, if I remember correctly. Haven't seen it since it came out.
21 Grams would've been a pretty good movie too if it hadn't been for the non-linear way the narrative was told, because there was no proper reason the story couldn't have been told in a chronological order. The way it was done now made some of the scenes lose their emotional weight, because the characters' motivations for their actions and reactions were only explained afterwards. It seemed the only reason for the story to be told non-chronologically was that it was more "arty".
Babel was very thin and pretentious, it felt like the director thought he was saying something profound, when he really wasn't. The story about the deaf girl was quite good though, but it had little to do with the rest of the movie.
