That said in this case the poppy business in Afghanistan is booming again now the Taliban have been kicked out, cos they of course shut it down briefly after getting anti-drug money. Not entirely surprising since after 25 years of being knocked about by superpowers/tearing itself apart/siphoning its cash to theocratic bad boys the country has no infrastructure or other viable exports. So maybe the ads should be saying "If you SHOOT UP it could keep our AID BUDGET DOWN" instead.
