Anyone's face get really red in cold weather?

Kind of a weird question, but just wondering. Whenever I go outside in the cold my face gets really red all over, and when I come into the heat afterwords my face gets REALLY REALLY red and very hot. My hands do the same thing, especially if I put them in warm water when they're cold. Any reason for this? Thin skin? Just wondering.
