Munich or Berlin?

So I have a friend planning her "study abroad" program at the moment, and she's unable to decide whether she'd like to spend the second half of it in Berlin or Munich... With the hope of finding a few general but compelling arguments for each, I ask which do you prefer?

Well, it depends on what she's looking for. Berlin obviously is the busier, artsier city; Munich is more laid back and an easier place to get work done, and arguably a more beautiful area.

Cost of living much lower in Berlin, I think.

Berlin all the way: Cheap, fun and on the up.

You're not going to pay too much for anything in Berlin and there is certianly more to do/see there.

berlin definitely, don't like munich much (you'll have damn problems understanding the people there!)
