OK, love it or hate it, reality TV's here to stay and BB appears to be its most popular format.

but at the moment its purpose is merely to select which jumped up full of themselves eejit (be they sleb, fake-sleb or no) wins some large sum of moolah.

my mouth is opening...could it be, yes it IS...A YAWN!

we have this incredible selction process at our disposal, let's put it to use to DECIDE OTHER MORE INTERSTING THINGS.

off you go....

In fairness, I have seen reality TV used for good. I remember when Jordan and Andre were in the jungle and I had it on a live feed in the mornings, and they were chatting nonsense, but it was really quiet insightful nonsense that just turned into an intense character study on the lives of celebs trying to make their way in the world. It was great, and made me realise that given the right nudging, reality TV could be used to get inside people's heads and report back in a way that other docs really can't. Problem is, intense character study doesn't get the ratings like tits and shouting.

I could live without the shouting...

Scotland, as a revitalised, go-ahead, for the first time in 300 years inde- (and indeed, indie- ) pendent country, use the BB format to decide upon its new president!

Nominees might well include

Clare Grogan
Stuart Murdoch
Eugene Kelly
Calum
RJG
Ally Cook
Sally Magnusson
Sharleen Spiteri
John Gordon Sinclair
Ally McCoist
Muriel Gray
Paul Coia

any others?

it either stands for "Hrout" or "Has A Lot Of Questions About What Would Happen If Scotland Became An Independent Country" or just "Hyper-active" like H from steps

Bah, I was waiting for that to animate :(

onimo (onimo), Friday, 2 February 2007 12:30 (eighteen years ago)

How do you search for animated gifs? You're right tho, that is required.

Johnney B English (stigoftdump), Friday, 2 February 2007 12:33 (eighteen years ago)

Scotland's indie-pendence was the signal for a tragic repetition of the disasters of the clearances as the bohemians of Glasgow, supported by the civil servants, launched vicious pogroms against the neds. Just as plaid had been banned in the C18th, burberry was outlawed, and the so-called happy hardcore 'music' was blacklisted. Whole districts of Ayrshire were levelled and their inhabitants shipped off to new lives abroad. This was shortly before Alex Salmond bet the whole of Scotland on a game of roulette and an oil executive from Texas took control, only to discover that his company has been running Scotland for twenty years anyway.

xp when I search for them I always end up with animated gits instead...

Scotland had a great end to the week but it wasn't enough to avoid the first round of evictions. I expect Holland and Argentina to make it to the final night. Mario Kempes has been roundly praised in the Houses of Parliament and can expect a hero's reception on Final Night.
