I got all the way through the sign up process before it told me that it was US only. Cheers!

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 17:41 (eighteen years ago)

Johnney B English (stigoftdump), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 17:46 (eighteen years ago)

I'm on the 4th try and already getting annoyed.

molly mummenschanz (mollyd), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 17:53 (eighteen years ago)

Ok, I'm on sign-in #15 and NOTHING.

molly mummenschanz (mollyd), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 18:03 (eighteen years ago)

I got into an argument with some Google folks at an ALA conference. Now I dislike them even more (even though this really isn't their fault).

Mr. Que (Mr.Que), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 18:30 (eighteen years ago)

http://digg.com/tech_news/Google_TV_An_Awesome_Prank

Apparently, Google TV is real. From what I can tell, this means of accessing it is not.

molly mummenschanz (mollyd), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 18:31 (eighteen years ago)

I got hungry for one of those chicken wrap things with the cheese and italian dressing yesterday and realized that Wendy's no longer carries that product.

Also, they do not deliver and my crispy chicken sandwich could've used a bit more mayo.

Pleasant Plains /// (Pleasant Plains ///), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 18:33 (eighteen years ago)

I fell for it too, but I didn't want to ruin the fun for anybody else.

yes, lets worry more about these people downloading MUSIC instead of worrying about more pressing matters..like little children getting kidnapped and raped and people robbing stores. good job RIAA. keep up the good fucking work.

OTM! how little the RIAA does about stopping people from raping children totally shows exactly how RACIST they really are!

critique de la vie quotidienne (modestmickey), Tuesday, 6 February 2007 20:54 (eighteen years ago)

mickey, are there any mashups yet? gave it a glance, kind of disappointed i couldnt find any.

six months pass...

This thread.

So my family now has Google TV. What is the point to this besides "you can look at flickr on your television now?"

All the cool sites don't work. I don't have a Netflix subscription (yet.) Is there anything that I'm missing with this that I can't get on my regular computer?

http://tinyurl.com/koalalala (Pleasant Plains), Saturday, 20 November 2010 17:07 (fifteen years ago)

networks started exluding their content from it a few weeks ago which wasn't a promising sign for it's longetivity. but I think you can stream different video formats to it, unlike with appletv. so that makes it more useful if you torrent things.

New movie and TV show purchases can only be added to Family Library if you purchase them with the family payment method, a Google Play gift card, or a promo code.

has anyone else ever tried to use this piece of crap? absolutely worthless.
