Ernest goes to camp!

WIKIPEDIA: In his song 'Callin in Sick Today' Weird Al Yankovic mentions that he can "spend all day in [his] underwear watching 'Ernest Goes to Camp'" rather than going to work.

Also: there's a bunch of references to John Vernon's character in Animal House and Animal House

Also: WTF NOT JIM VARNEY http://www.ernestads.com/

cousin larry bundgee (bundgee), Wednesday, 7 February 2007 19:41 (eighteen years ago)

Obviously best movie when you are sick is Ferris Bueller's Day Off. (except if you're really sick, then it's just annoying that you are stuck in bed and not having fun, just watching teenagers doing same)

Ladyhawk. My mother brought this home from the vid store once when I was home sick, and I still find it entertaining, comforting, and a good diversion from whatever symptoms of illness.

Laurel (Laurel), Wednesday, 7 February 2007 20:00 (eighteen years ago)

tearjerker movies where a main character sickens and dies, like "Love Story" or "Bang the Drum Slowly," or "Phhiladelphia," to help hone your self-pity to a dramatic pitch.
