Pretty bad stuff -- my dad being a Navy vet, this can cut close to home. If he was guilty of the offense, then punishment was obviously deserved, but I wasn't about to suggest the death penalty, say. If he was innocent, that's deeply awful. I think the service still has terrible qualms over what happened a few years back when the CNO (I believe) killed himself over the question of whether certain honors he wore were deserved.
